Here is your long lost IPAD userguide

February 17th 2012 19:26
Where oh where is your IPad user guide??

It's incredible how things have changed in regards to technology in the last ten years. The progression has been exponential and it's scary to think what our lives will be like in the next 10 years.

Not so long ago there was no such thing as a "smart phone". The idea of having internet access anywhere at anytime was unthinkable. I personally know many people that could not survive a week without their I-Phones.

While growing up, my father always told me to keep the user manual for any piece of equipment I purchased. He used to say that you never know when you will need to look something up or figure out a problem with the owners manual.

Those we're truly words of wisdom and I must say that I have referred back to these manuals countless times in my life. The down side of this is that I have accumulated an insane amount of these little booklets over the years. I know i'm not the only one. Many of you have designated special drawers and hiding places to keep your ever growing collection of manuals and guides.

My father instilled in me the good practice of keeping all these little userguides but it has also created a condition in which I am very reluctant to throw them out. What if I happen to need them someday??? What then.

Well I have developed a 10 year rule. Anything older than that goes and anything more recent stays in that special little drawer. I doubt that i will ever need the userguide for the VCR anymore.

You might ask yourself why I am writing about this? The reason is that I thought it would be a great idea to buy an Ipad for my parents. It's perfect for them. All they do is surf the internet and check their emails so it's much more convenient than a laptop or a desktop. Apple boasts that the IPAD is so simple that you already know how to use it!! Fantastic isn't it. What do you think was the first thing my dad asked when he opened up the box??? You got it..... where is the usual manual!!!

Apple it would seem, does not include any user manual in the box. I tried to explain this to my father that in this day and age everything is available "online" but there is something to be said for having a paper copy. Especially if you are in the seniors age group.

So for all you people having to explain to your parents where the guide is, I have provided a link here for the one and only Apple Ipad.

I hope it comes in handy because I have learned that seniors DO NOT already know how to use an IPad.

Ipad User Manual

For those of you that want to get the full potential for your Ipad this was recommended to me. It really unlocks all the potential of your Ipad.

Apple’s whole model is “ease of use”. The statement they tried to make was that you don’t even need a manual. And, maybe that’s true if you’re just going to use your iPad as an overpriced email checker. But, it’s not just a giant iPhone. You want to get more out of your iPad. You want to unlock it’s full potential.

But unfortunately, if no one actually shows you some of the iPad’s less-obvious tricks and tips, you’ll probably never discover them on your own.
